Christopher Schlierf had the pleasure to collaborate with VFX house Storz & Escherich who is famous for their work on Rammstein's music videos and many more, on two commercials for BMW under the series title “Individual.” He was asked to write a concept for BMW’s Individual line of luxury car personalisation tools with a narrative structure, voiceover script, slogan, and visual direction for the commercial. The production had only one shoot day to produce the main car shots for two separate commercials for BMW, which understandably added increasing mounting pressure. Other scenes were shot at a studio and luxury manson. Christopher Schlierf needed to simultaneously manage a massive crew on an expansive set, was a balancing act. But he was able to complete both commercial shoots within the given timeframe, and in post production worked closely with the editors in order to achieve the finest color grading and treatment.
Both 'Individual' commercials were instant hits, and brought significant success. 'Individual' was so popular, both online and at POS, that the commercial is still running in Munich’s world-famous BMW museum to this day.
